The Federal Archives are conducting a Linked Data project designed to develop the linked data service LINDAS. By the end of 2020 LINDAS will provide a tool for data conversion and data integration, a triplestore (data storage) and a visualization tool. The visualization tool is being developed by the Federal Office for the Environment. Further information can be found on the eGovernment Switzerland website.

What is Linked Data?

Linked Data is a technology that allows data on a wide variety of topics and from a wide range of sources to be easily connected. It is part of the Semantic Web. The Semantic University offers tutorials on the main principles of Linked Data, RDF and SPARQL.
